Fiat 500L stars at the Gallery of Modern Art in Turin

The exhibition entitled 'Renoir. From the Musée d'Orsay and Musée de l'Orangerie Collections' organised by Sylvie Patry and Riccardo Passoni will be held at the Modern Art Gallery of Turin from October 23, 2013 to February 23, 2014.Some sixty masterpieces are on display allowing to retrace the irresistible creative verve of Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841-1919), one of the founders and leading painters of the Impressionist style.
Fiat is sponsoring the event and displaying a 500L, the 'City Lounge' which combines the iconic 500 style with functional Italian design, at the entrance to the Gallery. This special alchemy has given rise to a brand-new city car concept that redefines the category of compact cars for the modern family in an emotional vein by expanding on a few styling features of the 500 in unprecedented forms.
In the wake of the experience of the international contemporary art exhibition 'Artissima 19' in Turin in 2012, this new product placement operation reasserts the focus of Fiat 500L on art as a fertile communication area where the model is perfectly at ease. More in detail, the showcased car sports a distinctive red livery which places the accent on the wide range of available colour customisations, one of the particularities that the model shares with the French master's paintings.
Just as the use of light and colour are one of the key elements of Renoir's painting philosophy, Fiat 500L surprises for its remarkable colour palette: no fewer than 333 possible combinations are available by matching eleven body colours, the three roof tones (black, white or body colour) and three rim colours (white, black and aluminium). This is made even more attractive by the various upholstery combinations, spanning from black "Star" fabric with grey or red inserts and three-tone "Tecnosilk" (beige, red and grey) to delightful Castiglio of which two variants (mink or cream) can be chosen.
Light also plays a key role in Fiat 500L. With its 360 degree glazing, it has the best visibility ranking in its segment and the outstanding brightness in the passenger compartment is further enhanced by its sunroof, which with its 1.5 square metres of surface is the largest in its category. Available either fixed or opening with electric control, the panoramic sunroof of Fiat 500L is a window on the sky which frames the vibrating colours and light of the great outdoors just like Renoir's en plein air paintings.
