Dotz Mag 2013: Glissade as a Driving Art
2013 is going to be a huge gymkhana year – and a small
one, too. The sixth Dotz Mag edition is dedicated to this phenomenon in both
the regular issue and in the ultra-compact onboard issue. We are certain that
our exciting gymkhana stories will be making quite a splash all over Europe.
Dotz Mag – The European Automotive Lifestyle Magazine“
continues motor “artist” Ken Block’s mission, both numerically and substantively: While in
summer 2012 the Californian uploaded his fifth spectacular gymkhana
videos, Dotz Mag No. 6 is also dedicated to this topic.
We reconstruct this motorsport’s origins, look at how
airborne gymkhana could look like – with Dotz Teamrider Hannes Arch, for
example – and present Hotrod Hangar, who for Dotz converted a BMW into the
ultimate gymkhana machine and called it DD1. But just like always, Dotz Mag
also features other hot stories, e.g. the new SRT Viper, which we tested, and
the new Golf, which we also tested.
We accompanied Dotz Teamrider Tom Öhler during his pioneering
biking act at the “Steinernes Meer”, and DJ Mosaken, also a member of the Dotz team,
drove Rieger Tuning’s Audi A5. The “Wheel Guide” does now have an optimised “Tech
Spec“ page and integrated QR codes to make for a convenient interface for
smartphones and tablet computers.
A selection of the best
stories and contents can be found in the Dotz Mag Onboard issue. Its 100,000
copies are going to be distributed at the most important trade fairs. The main
topic is, of course, the BMW E92 DD1, which in 2013 will be pitted
against Hannes
Arch’s plane at the “Gymkhana Street vs. Air Battle“.
